Purim Play and Prep

Purim Dress-ups

Since learning about the Purim story, so many Kindergarten friends have been playing with the dress-up clothes and acting out the story. Last week we were so lucky to have Fourth grade visit our class to put on a Purim show for us, with costumes and all.

Everybody has been getting into the Purim spirit.

The visiting Purim Performance!!

We were such a good audience, the play was so funny!!

Haman wanted everybody to bow down to him

Mordechai prayed to Hashem

Mishloach Manot

One of the mitvos of Purim is to give Mishloach Manot (or shalach manos) which is 2 food items to a friend.
We practised sorting the appropriate items (only food which is 'ready to eat) and then played a messenger game, delivering the basket of food to a friend in the circle.
It is a little bit like duck duck goose, everybody had fun playing the game and we were all happy to our friends when they got a turn.

On Friday we took home the illustrated megillah we made and decorated in class; together with the shalach manos we received from Morah Dawn & Morah Sharon.

Each Shalach Manos had an individual photo on it of what we wore on crazy hat day!!

Everybody waited patiently while each friend was called up to receive theirs.
