Segol
Each nekudah has its sound it makes in its name. We learned about the 3 Segol Eggs which make the sound e like in egg.

Shva
Shva reminds us of a little baby that wants a ball and doesn't know how to ask for it. It just makes a noise 'ugh ugh' and reaches for the item. It can even look like a baby with a ball above it.
Shva is one of the trickiest Hebrew vowels, it can be like the i in tip or the a in above.
We all practised putting our hands above our heads and reaching for a ball, an orange or a toy and making the shva sound.
Some of the Kindergarten friends even got a chance to be the Morah and help the class sing the Sh'va song, whilst pointing to the Sh'va chart.
