Kindergarten learns to tell time!

Kindergarten learned to tell time by the hour! They know that an analog clock has two hands, a minute hand and an hour one. We also learned to tell digital time. Below each child was given a clock. When Morah said a time, the children turned the hands to make the clock say that time. They then took a marker and wrote the time digitally.

Measurements

Kindergarten learned all about measuring! They know that a ruler has 12 inches. They also know how to use a ruler to measure items. The children went on a scavenger hunt in our class and chose various things to measure.

Morah also brought in a tape measure and scale. The children also learned that we use a tape measure to measure objects larger then 12 inches. They also learned we use a scale to measure weight. Each child colored in a boy or girl picture to resemble themself and they added their weight and height as we took it.

Happy Birthday Ariel!

Happy Birthday to Ariel! The children wished Ariel special birthday wishes and then he gave a special bracha to his classmates! We gave tzedakah and danced around the room. To top the party off we ate yummy cupcakes! Thank you to Ariel's mom, dad and sisters for celebrating with us!

Botanical Gardens

Kindergarten visited the Botanical Gardens. We walked around admiring the beautiful flowers. The children were so excited and couldn't get enough of each area we visited. They stopped to smell flowers and wanted the Morahs to take pictures of them. The garden had many areas to visit...a dessert area, warm temperature plant areas, etc. Their favorite part was walking over the bridge and seeing the large fish!
