Kindergarten is reviewing their numbers and counting skills. We learned that by using a graph we can see how many of an item there are. By using a graph we can read it to find out various information like how many there are of something or the most or least popular of something. In kindergarten we wanted to know, What color is most liked in our class? Each student received a paper crayon to color their favorite color. We met back at the rug to graph each of our colors. Morah wrote the colors at the bottom of the graph and added each crayon to the appropriate column. By the end, we could see that more children like blue the best! Green came in the least with zero votes. We will continue to do this idea through the year as kindergarten graphs the weather daily. At the end of each month we see which type of weather was dominant.
