The Human Body

Kindergarten is learning about the Human Body. We recently received an anatomy apron to help us with our unit. Thank you Ariella N!

We Learned:
  • The brain is the remote control for our body.
  • The skeleton is made of 206 bones and gives our body shape.
  • The bones also protect various organs.
  • We know that the mouth is the first part of digestion and that our foods are broken down in our stomach.
  • The nutrients from our food is put into our bloodstream.
  • Our lungs help us breathe.
  • Our kidneys help us to be able to use the bathroom.
We all showed our muscles and talked about their function in the body.
We also spoke about how our face has muscles too and that's how we make various facial expression.

We used a stethoscope to listen to our friend heartbeat

We learned our heart rate is goes faster when we move and exercise and slows down when we are at rest

We got to try on our anatomy apron
