Using our Five Senses

Kindergarten is learning all about The Five Senses! When talking about taste, we each looked at our tongues and noticed it had little and big bumps on it. These are called taste buds. We learned that even when blindfolded, our tongue can send messages to our brain and tell us what we are eating, Our tongue has salty, sweet and sour taste buds.

As a fun activity, Morah cut up 3 different types of apples. The children tasted each type and had to guess which they were eating. They each made predictions beforehand about which they would like the best. Some were surprised when they realized they liked a different apple better.
