Sorting

Kindergarten has been reviewing the idea of sorting in math and science. Morah first met with the children at the carpet to explain various ways to sort things. Three different color sorting rings were placed on the floor. Morah held up various pictures of animals and the children told me if the animal lives in the ocean, on land or flies in the sky.

The children then went back to their tables to experiment with this idea. Each table got three different color rings. As each child observed a different card in the animal pile, they had to put it in the land, water or sky ring. We reviewed our findings when we were finished.
